I am the problem solving temperament, particularly if the problem has to do with the many complex systems that make up the world around us. Whatever fires my curiosity; I will analyze it to understand how it works, so I can figure out how to make it better.

 

In working with problems, I try to find solutions that have application in the real world, but I am even more interested in the abstract concepts involved. And I am completely pragmatic about my ways and means of achieving my ends. I don't care about being politically correct. I am interested in the most efficient solutions possible, and will listen to anyone who has something useful to say or teach me, while disregarding any authority or customary procedure that wastes time and resources.

 

I have an insatiable hunger to accomplish my goals and will work tirelessly on any project I have set my mind to. I am rigorously logical and fiercely independent in my thinking. Often I am seen as cold and distant, but this is the absorbed concentration that I give to whatever problem I am working on. Whether designing a skyscraper or an experiment, developing a theory or a prototype technology, building an aircraft, a corporation, or a strategic alliance, I value intelligence, in myself and others, and I pride myself on the ingenuity I bring to their problem solving.

 

I have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy inventing prototypes, gadgets and systems that help solve problems. Rather than being the designer of the system or project, I am likely want to find an ingenious way to make it happen. I tend to be highly curious and enjoy working on complex problems - in fact, the larger and more complex the issue, the more I thrive. Though I am highly creative, I am also practical and work to create solutions that can be repeated.

I am passionately concerned with personal growth and development. I am always a quest for self-knowledge and self-improvement and I want to help others make the journey. I am naturally drawn to working with people, and whether in education or counseling, in social services or personnel work, in journalism or the ministry, they are gifted at helping others find their way in life, often inspiring them to grow as individuals and to fulfill their potentials.

I am sure that friendly cooperation is the best way for people to achieve their goals. Conflict and confrontation upset me because they seem to put up angry barriers between people. I am highly ethical in my actions, and I hold myself to a strict standard of personal integrity.

I agree with this evaluation, though I believe that I sometimes switch between the Rational Inventor and Idealist Champion depending on the situation that I am faced with.
